About the Guide Genevieve has been involved with MRN since 2015, starting as a voluntary field biologist for our first release site for Great Green Macaws. After becoming inspired by the success of the program, she stayed on to volunteer with tours, school programs, and community outreach. Later on, she volunteered with us as a tour guide at our Punta Islita location. Originally from Florida, where she worked as a Zoo Keeper, tour guide, and veterinary technician, Genevieve is now a passionate ambassador for Parrots and other animals in Costa Rica. Please note: In case of heavy rainfall, please reach out to discuss a potential reschedule.
